Learning to multiply and divide

- We are learning about multiplication and division.
- We did some sharing of a group of pompoms into cups - this is division.
- We also had to count how many groups of sticks were in how many cups -this is multiplying.

ANZAC Service
Here is some of our learning about the ANZAC's
- Poppies were one of the first flowers to grow after the war.
- We listened to the sound of bombs on Miss P's computer while we hid under our desks pretending that we were in the trenches... which we learnt were a place for army men to hide from the bullets
- During the ANZAC service the flag went to half way as we remembered the people who had fought and died for us.
- Nephi and Zara bought our class wreath to the front for us during the service.
- Ben Werry played the drums and someone else played the trumpet.
- We sang the national anthem during the ANZAC Service.

Wacky Hair Day

Wacky Hair Day raised almost $300 for netball hoop nets! Miss P had lots of curls in her hair and a little clip like a little girl! Mrs Cody's girls had their hair tied up very high. She said the trick was hiding a drink bottle under their hair!"It was fun to have wacky hair as a way to help raise money for netball hoop nets." Ellie

Maths fun in room 14

A new maths game for Room 14!
Here's how you play. There are numbers written on the floor in a circle. Two people walk around the circle until the teacher says "STOP!" Then you have to be the fastest to answer a maths questions based on the two numbers the people are standing on. It helps you to learn to think FAST!!! Maybe you could try it at home and see how quick Mum or Dad or other family members can be... can they beat you?
